EPFO Complaint Portal | EPFO Grievance Portal (ePFIGMS) – Complete Guide
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is a government body that manages retirement savings for employees in India. EPFO provides a wide range of services to employees, including maintaining provident fund accounts, processing retirement benefits, and managing pensions. However, despite the best efforts to provide timely services, sometimes employees face issues related to their EPF accounts, claims, or other services.
To address such issues and ensure that the EPF services are accessible and transparent, EPFO has established the EPFO Grievance Portal (ePFIGMS). This portal is designed to handle complaints and grievances raised by employees regarding EPF services. Through this platform, employees can file complaints, track the status of their grievances, and get resolutions in a timely manner.
In this post, we’ll provide a detailed guide on how to use the EPFO Complaint Portal or ePFIGMS, the common issues employees face, and how to resolve them using the portal.
What is the EPFO Grievance Portal (ePFIGMS)?
The EPFO Grievance Portal, also known as ePFIGMS (Employee Provident Fund Internet Grievance Management System), is an online platform launched by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to help employees address their grievances and complaints. It offers a user-friendly interface where employees can log complaints regarding various EPF-related issues and track the progress of their grievances.
EPFO aims to provide prompt resolutions to issues such as non-credit of contributions, delays in claim settlement, issues with UAN activation, incorrect data, etc. The grievance portal allows employees to directly interact with the EPFO and ensures that their concerns are raised and resolved efficiently.
Features of the EPFO Grievance Portal (ePFIGMS)
- Complaint Registration: Employees can easily register complaints regarding their EPF accounts or any other related issues.

Common Issues Handled by the EPFO Grievance Portal
Employees can raise complaints on the ePFIGMS portal regarding a variety of issues. Here are some of the most common complaints filed by users:
- Delayed EPF Claims: One of the most common issues employees face is delays in the settlement of EPF withdrawal or transfer claims. These complaints can be registered on the portal if the claim has not been processed within the stipulated time.
- UAN Activation and Linking: Employees who have not been able to activate their UAN or link their Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account to the UAN can raise complaints regarding the issue.
- Non-Credit of EPF Contributions: Employees sometimes report that their employer has not credited their EPF contributions. In such cases, the EPFO grievance portal can be used to file a complaint.
- Incorrect or Missing Details in EPF Account: If there are discrepancies in personal details such as the name, father’s name, date of birth, or gender in the EPF account, employees can register complaints for corrections via the portal.
- Transfer of EPF Account: Issues related to the transfer of EPF balances from the previous employer to the current employer are common. If the transfer does not happen as expected, employees can use the portal to resolve the issue.
- Pension Scheme Issues: Problems related to the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), such as discrepancies in pension calculation or delays in pension payments, can also be addressed through the portal.
- Missing or Incorrect Credit in EPF Balance: Occasionally, employees notice that their EPF balance is not reflecting correctly. If the balance does not match their actual contributions, they can file a grievance.

It is been 2 months since I have retired but till date he does not have recived his PF in his account. even after multiple followups with PF office there is no proper response.
PF Government very slow in processing request because it is taking more than 20 working days to reject pf withdraw request, just for verifying with only one document.
I have raised PF withdraw request for emergency because of illness but it has been rejected twice and took nearly one month.
Do you know how people will get trouble if they have to pay the amount within that time for emergency or illness? at least rejection should be faster so that people will raise the request again with proper details or the correct instruction should be mentioned in the portal.
