Follow the below steps to update the National Population Register in epf account:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the epfo – https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/
Step 2: Go to Manage > KYC, and click on it.
Step 3: Options to edit National Population Register, Aadhar card, Ration card number, Passport, DL, National Population Register, etc, by clicking on the “Select- Tick” button.
Step 4: Enter National Population Register Number, Name as per document and other details if applicable.
Step 5: After editing and entering the details save it.
Step 6: After saving it will reflect in KYC Pending for Approval section.
Step 7: Your pending KYC will be approved by your employer, by UIDAI, by the Income-tax department.
Step 8: Repeat the same process to update the National Population Register, Passport, aadhar, passport and Ration Card number.

How to do it offline.
If someone still wants to go offline and make the corrections, a joint declaration by the employee and employer needs to be filled up and submitted to the EPFO.
